How do I structure an A level exam response?

An A level question requires a sound structure in order for the content to answer the question. The standard point, evidence, explain structure can be developed in order to meet the required assessment objectives; for example, ensuring a direct quote is used, with linked explanation directly to said question. A multiple point, utilising a differing quote or point of view also helps when developing your answer; after your original explanation, you should try to analyse the argument in a different light allowing you to show your breadth of knowledge, whilst also answering the question. Furthermore, ensuring you are consistently linking back to the question at hand is crucial; if you are to go on a tangent, you may show your knowledge, but you will not accurately hit the marking criteria, which is fundamental at A level.
