I only recently decided to study my chosen subject, what can I do to show my enthusiasm on my personal statement?

Whilst it may seem as though you are at a disadvantage for choosing your subject later in life it is very easy to catch up. Many people only make their choices in sixth form. Reading relevant books and articles, attending sample lectures or watching documentaries, joining related societies and studying areas of your A-level courses more deeply are all good activities to do to show interest. However, the most important aspect of a personal statement is showing how these activities made you interested in your chosen course. Universities don't just want a list of achievements!
