How should I incorporate my knowledge of relevant books/movies into my personal statement?

Due to the character restrictions of your personal statement, it's really important not to waste space. Avoid quotations or summarising somebody else's work in your personal statement. Instead, for each source make sure to touch on your unique opinion on a relevant subject or theme in the source, and why it's relevant.
