How to effectively write a personal statement?

In order to do that firstly you need to ask yourself why are you applying for this specific course? It is a good practise to start it with writing down bullet points with all of the ideas. Then you can select the ones that are the most important for you and try to elaborate on them. Try to ask yourself why? What story may lay behind it? How can you describe it to convince the reader that it is your vocation? Also, remember that you want you personal statement to be outstanding. You need to think how you can convey uniqueness by writing the statement. Now you may be wondering: okay, but how to make it? My tip is try to write it as personal as possible. You surely have some different experiences than others do not for example: some voluntary service, summer job, extracurricular activities, holidays that change your life, your passions, and achievements. Then, when you know the content, try to think about the structure. Ask yourself how to make it clear and coherent? Also you should begin with a compelling introduction and ending. Remember that it is proven, that people tend to pay more attention to the first and last paragraphs. This is how people's memory works. Now good luck with writing it from the scratch.
