f(x) = (4x + 1)/(x - 2). Find f'(x)

Quotient rule: (vu' - uv')/v^2

u = 4x + 1

u' = 4

v = x - 2

v' = 1

Input into formula:

[(x - 2)(4) - (4x + 1)(1)](x - 2)^2

Simplify:

[4x - 8 -4x - 1]/(x - 2)^2

= -9/(x - 2)^2

How do I find the turning points of a curve?

Sketch, on a pair of axes, the curve with equation y = 6 - |3x+4| , indicating the coordinates where the curve crosses the axes, then solve the equation x = 6 - |3x+4|

Find the stationary points on y = x^3 + 3x^2 + 4 and identify whether these are maximum or minimum points.

Find the coordinates of the point of intersection between the line L:(-i+j-5k)+v(i+j+2k) and the plane π: r.(i+2j+3k)=4.
