What is the difference between “吗” and “妈”?

Although both characters have the 'horse' component, the first also has the 'mouth' key, suggesting it is a form of interrogation we use at the end of a sentence, while the second has the 'woman' key, pointing toward it's meaning of Mum, in “妈妈”.
