What is an advantage and disadvantage of oppertunity sampling?

Advantage: It is a quick and easy way of choosing participants for a study as it is based on convenience. Disadvantage: It may not be representative of the target population, potentially producing a sampling bias, and so the findings will lack external validity as they cannot be generalised.
