Find the first 4 term of the binomial expansion (2-4x)^5

Step 1: Look at formula in formula booklet provided and write out formula.

Formula: (a+b)n= annc1an-1b + nC2an-1b2+...+nCran-rb

In this question our a=2 our b=-4x and our n=5

Therefore our first 4 terms are:

4+ 524(-4x) + 1023(-4x)2 + 1022(-4x)3

= 32 - 320x +1280x2 -2560x3
