How is the instrumental case used and formed in Russian?

  1. To convey the meaning "with"  (с) 2) After certain prepositions: за (behind), между (between), над (above), перед (in front of), под (beneath) 3) After certain verbs (заниматься (to practice, be engaged with), интересоваться (to be interested in). Formation: - Masculine nouns: add "ом" or "ем". - Feminine nouns: replace "a" with "ой". If the word ends in "ь" add "ю". - Neuter nouns: add "м". - Plural nouns: add "ами" or "ями".
