Explain how Hitler rose to power.

Hitler rose to power for a variety of reasons. Firstly, he was a charismatic leader and a great orator. He appealed to the German people following WW1. However, his rise to power was only enabled by events outside his control,

Events such as WW1 itself, the Treaty of Versailles, namely the vast reparations demanded by the Allies and the Great Depression of 1929. There were other events that Hitler and the Nazis used to their adavantage such as the Reichstag fire.
