Analyse which was the most prominent form of conflict between the Soviet Union and United States during the Cold War

The student should adress these 3 main forms: Traditional Great Power Rivalry (using the establishment of sphere's of influence at the Yalta and Tehran conferences as well as Soviet fears of invasion post-war and American fears of loss of influence via markets), ideological conflict (the USA and USSR had opposing ideologies, evidence supporting its prominance including Truman's doctrine of containment, pre-cold war conflict in Russian civil war and the Red Scare) and economic conflict (the powers wished for access to resources, as seen in proxy-conflicts in the third world and establishment of the Marshall Plan and Comecon). The student may answer as they wish and argue the point they believe is best supported by evidence, following which any areas that they struggled with would be addressed and explained.
