How do I use the near future tense?

The near future tense is a really easy way to use a different tense in a writing or speaking exam. The near future tense refers to things that someone is going to do. The structure in Spanish therefore is as follows: present tense conjugation of the verb ir (meaning to go) + a + an infinitive. For example: voy a hacer mis deberes, vamos a comprar un gato, van a conducir el coche, vais a nadar hoy.
