What is "Congiuntivo presente" and how do you form it?

Congiuntivo presente is used to express uncertainty, probability and doubt in phrases like: "Credo / Spero che..." (I believe / hope that...), "È importante che..." (It's important that), "Penso che..." (I think that...), "Sembra che..." (It seems that...).The subject in the first half of the sentence must be different from the subject in the second half in order to form Congiuntivo presente.E.g.-"Spero che Andrea riceva l'offerta di lavoro" (I hope that Andrea gets the job offer);-"Credo che Chiara sia una brava scrittrice" (I think that Chiara is a good writer).Congiuntivo presente is formed depending on how the infinite verb ends. For verbs ending in -ARE, Congiuntivo will end in -i -> (Che) io compr-iFor verbs ending in -ERE, Congiuntivo will end in -a -> (Che) io scriv-aFor verbs ending in -IRE, Congiuntivo will end in -a -> (Che) io dorm-a
