What did you do last weekend?

This question helps the student to think about vocab relating to pastimes and hobbies as well as the passé composé tense. It also opens up the possibility of using the simple future tense if the student wishes to develop their answer to state what they plan to do next weekend.

Example answer - Le weekend dernier je suis allé(e) en ville. J'ai acheté un livre et un t-shirt. La dimanche j'ai fait mes devoirs et j'ai regardé la télévision. Le weekend prochain je vais aller à la fête d'anniversaire d'un ami.
