How do I conjugate a present tense verb ending in er?

Firstly when a verb is not conjugated (ie. to go rather than I go) , this is known as the infinitive. In french an example could be AIMER meaning to like. To conjugate a regular -er verb, you take off the -er of the infinitive to get the stem. For example: Aimer - to like - infinitive form Aim - stem formThen add the six present tense endings specific to -er verbs: -e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent, j'aime (I like)tu aimes (you like) il/elle aime (he/she likes)nous aimons (we like)vous aimez (you like) - formal/plural ils aiment (they like)
