Where does the graph x^2-3x-4 cross the x axis?

First, you need to factorise the quadratic:x2-3x-4=0(x-4)(x+1)=0Then, set each of the brackets to equal 0 and solve for x:x-4=0 --> x = 4x+1=0 --> x=-1
