¿Cuáles son las ventajas y desvantajas de las redes sociales?

I would explain to the student what the marker is looking for: Communication and content, accuracy and quality of language (vocabulary, range of tenses, opinions) I would advice on how to structure the response, so as to both demonstrate the positives and negatives to socia media, with an introduction and conclusion. Before writing, we would discuss 10-15 pieces of topic-specific vocab for use in the essay. To increase the level, I would advise the use of connectives and opinion phrases, eg. En primer lugar, por otro lado, además, también, por mi parte, desde mi punto de vista, al contrario, veo que etc. It is very important to make use of a variety of tenses and complex structures in order to achieve the highest marks. I would therefore cover examples of sentences which could be applied both to this specific question, but also which are useful for any question they are faced with. Eg. future, imperfect and preterite tenses, use of subjunctive tense in examples such as ´si clauses´ (si pasara demasiado tiempo en las redes sociales, no hará suficiente ejercicio) and expressions of doubt (es una lastima que los niños prefieren estar en Facebook en vez de al aire libre).
