Solve the simultaneous equations y=x-5 and 10y=2x+6 by elimination, and by substitution.

Elimination:

Multiply equation (eqn) 1 by 2: 2y=2x-10

Subtract modified eqn 1 from 2: 8y=16

Divide through by 8
