If a 60kg girl jumps out of a helicoptor, draw diagrams to show the forces (with values) acting on her when a) she is in freefall, b) she is accelerating at half of g (g = 10 m/s^2), c) she is travelling at a constant speed?

a) 600N arrow down for weight, no air resistance arrow, acceleration = 10m/s^2

b) 600N arrow down, 300N arrow up for air resistance, acceleration = 5m/s^2    (Using F = ma)

c) 600N arrows up...

Differentiate and factorise y = x^2(3x + 1)

Product rule:      dy/dx = uv' + u'v dy/dx = 2x(3x + 1) + x^2(3) dy/dx = 2x(3x + 1) +3x^2 dy/dx = 6x^2 + 2x + 3x^2 dy/dx = 9x^2 + 2x dy/dx = x(9x + 2)
