What is the difference between 'qualche' and 'alcuni'?

Both of these words mean 'some', however 'qualche' is ALWAYS singular and 'alcuni' is ALWAYS plural.

Example: 'I have some friends'

Ho qualche amico

How do you form the possessive in Italian?

The possessive in Italian depends on the number and gender of the object, not the subject.

For example,

"Il suo gatto" / "His/her cat" (nm)
