Each skin cell in a mouse has 40 chromosomes. How many chromosomes were present in each cell after dividing four times during cell culture?

When a cell divides, the number of chromosomes in that cell does not change. So if a cell had 40 chromosomes in it before it divided, it would still have 40 chromosomes in it after it had divided.
