Express '2x^2 + 8x + 30' in the form 'a(x+b)^2 + c'

b = B/2A = 8/(2x2) =8/4 = 2
c = C-((B^2)/4A) = 30-((8^2)/(4x2)) = 30-64/8 = 30-8 = 22
=> 2x^2 + 8x + 30 = 2(x+2)^2 + 22

Solve the following simultaneous equations: A. 2x-2y=18 and B. 3x+y=23

Step 1: Rearrange one equation to make y the subject. In equation B, we can move the 3x to the other side, making it negative and making the equation y=23-3xStep 2: Substitute our new value for y into equ...
