How do I calculate the distance between two vectors?

Suppose we have two vectors U(a1,b1) and V(a2,b2). Hence, the distance between U and V will be given by the formula: d=sqrt((a1-b1)+ (a2-b2)2)

Using the quadratics formula find the two solutions to x^2 + 3x + 2 = 0.

There are 10 boys and 20 girls in a class. The class has a test. The mean mark for all the class is 60. The mean mark for the girls is 54. Work out the mean mark for the boys.

Solve ((x+2)/3x) + ((x-2)/2x) = 3

Factorise: y = x^2 + 5x + 6
