A drug used in a scientific trial is a competitive inhibitor of the elctron transport chain in the light dependent reaction, what affect will this have on the amount of glucose synthesised by the plant? (4 marks)

1- The drug has a similar shape to the substrate which is complementary to the active site of the electron transport chain proteins. 2- Competitive inhibition stops the transfer of electrons, coming from the photolusis of water 3-No electrons can reduce NADP to NADPH 4- GP cannot turn to TP 5- Glusoce yield much lower.
