Explain what a synapse is and explain how information passes across a synapse

A synapse is a junciton between neurones. Information is passed across a synapse when a chemical neurotransmitter is released from one neurone across the synpase to the next neurone causing an electrical impulse. I would use a white board to draw a diagram to aid this answer
