Expand the following brackets: (2x + 1)(x + 3)

The FOIL technique (First, Outside, Inside, Last) is very useful when expanding out brackets. Using this method we have:2x * x = 2x2 (First)2x * 3 = 6x (Outside)1 * x = x (Inside)1 * 3 = 3 (Last)So overall we have: 2x2 + 6x + x + 3 = 2x2 + 7x + 3
