Simplify Fully 4(2x+1)-2(x-5) .

First concentrate on expanding out the first set of brackets: 4(2x+1).Multiply the contents of the bracket by 4, giving 8x+4.Next concentrate on expanding out the second set of brackets not forgetting the minus sign : -2(x-5) .Multiplying the contents of the bracket by -2, gives -2x+10.Add together both of the now expanded sets of equations, giving (8x+4) + (-2x+10) .As a + and - together, make a -, we can simplify further to 8x+4-2x+10.Group the 'x' and integer values together, giving 8x-2x+4+10 and simplify to give 6x+14.
