How do I multiply fractions?

This is simpler than you think when you break it down. Just multiply both the numerators (the top number of your fraction) together for the new numerator of the fraction in your answer. Then do the same for the denominator (the bottom number of the fraction). Once you have done so and have a new fraction, simplify down if needed. Its generally good practice to and you will be asked in most cases so try to get into a habit of doing this, even if you aren't asked to.E.G4/7 X 9/12 = ?4 X 9 = 367 X 12 = 8436/84 simplified = 3/7So 4/7 X 9/12 = 3/7
