Factorise x^2 + 5x + 6

We are trying to get to the form of x2 + 5x + 6 = ( x + a)(x + b)6 must also factorise as 6x1 or 3x2 Let's focus first on the x terms : 5x is the sum of ax + dbx and the coefficient of these two must be factor of 6 to have ab = 632 = 6, 3+2 = 5=> x2 + 5x + 6 = ( x + 3)(x + 2)

Factorise and solve 4(x)^2-2x=0

On a graph, the lines with the equations y=x^2+5x+4 and y=-3x-8 meet at two distinct points. Find the coordinates of these meeting points.

The equation of line L is y= 3x+2 and the equation of line M is 3y–9x+5=0. Show that these lines are parallel.
