Solve 5(x + 3) < 60

Firstly multiply out the brackets. This would equal 5x + 15 < 60. Now move all the x terms onto one side and all the constants on to the other side. You can do this be doing minus 15 to both sides. 5x < 45. Then, divide by 5, x<9. This is the answer.
