To answer this question you need to write down and solve an equation. Let's call t a tin of soup and p, a packet. We have: 5t=1750 and 4t+3p=1490. We want to know how much is 3t+2p. 1. Isolate t to find value: t=1750/5=3502. Find p by replacing t and dividing by 3. 4350+3p=1490, 1400+3p=1490 so 3p=90 and p=30.3. Find the value needed by replacing results: 3350+2*30=1110
