The movement's leaders (EVIDENCE) received financing for the running of the League. (EXPLANATION) This helped drive parliamentary reform in this period because there was a large and visible pressure group aimed at parliament, with the support of respectable figures and their financing allowed for the wide spread advertisement of the League and its aims, creating a force behind the League that supported and participated in demonstrations for democracy. EVIDENCE- Hyde Park Demonstrations, which affected the drive for democracy by... EXPLANATION.(WEAKNESS) However, the significance of the Reform League was undermined by.... (LINK BACK) Overall, the Reform League was a significant/less significant factor in the drive for parliamentary reform during this timer period. POINT - Liberal Government (link to the question and the previous factor, how did they influence each other) was the existing liberal government more willing to pass reforms, and so the Reform League was just well timed? EVIDENCE x2 and EXPLAIN x2 how they make this point more of less significant in driving parliamentary reform in 1852-67 (at the end make a value judgement on the significance of the factors compared to each other and how they may have influenced each other).
