Work out the value of n, the value of A & the value of B (question given below in correct subscript)

(2x3/2y-1)n = Ax6yB First of all both sides need to be written in the same format so simplify the left hand side. 2n (x3/2)n (y-1)n We are given the power of x is 6 so we can write and equation and solve to find n. x3n/2 = x6 Ignore the x as that is a constant value 3n/2 = 6 so 3n = 12 and n = 4 Now substitute n to find A and B. 24= 16 and y-1x4= y-4 This means n=4, A=16 and B=-4

Solve these simultaneous equations and find the values of x and y. Equation 1: 2x + y = 7 Equation 2: 2x - y - 4 = 4 – x

Solve the following simultaneous equations. 2x + 5y = -4. 7x + y = 19

x : y = 7 : 4, x + y =88. Work out the value of x - y.
