A plane travels at the speed of 213 miles per hour. Work out an estimate for the number of seconds it takes a plane to travel 1 mile.

There a 60 minutes in one hour. There are 60 seconds in one minute.60 multiplied by 60 is 3600.Therefore the plane travels 213 miles in 3600 seconds. To find out how many seconds it takes the plane to travel 1 mile : Divide 3600 by 213.Because this is an estimation. We can divide 3600 by 200 which equals = 18
