Explain the difference between active transport and osmosis (3)

i. Osmosis involves the transport of water only whereas Active Transport involves the transport of molecules/ionsii. Osmosis involves the transport along the concentration gradient whereas Active transport involves the transport against the concentration gradientiii. Osmosis occurs on a semi-permeable membrane whereas Active transport does not. iiii. Osmosis does not require energy from ATP whereas Active Transport does.
