Work out 1 1/5 ÷ 3/4. Give your answer as a mixed number in it's simplest form

First we get rid of the first mixed fraction by making it top heavy:1=5/5, therefore 1 1/5= 6/5Then we flip the second fraction to get its reciprocal: 4/3Now we change the sign to multiply rather than divide6/5 × 4/3 = now we can simply multiply top by top and bottom by bottom to get 24/15This can be split into 1 9/15, and 9/15 can be simplified to 3/5 (both numerator and denominator are divisible by 3)so the final answer is 1 3/5
