Factorise the expression: 8x + 32

8x + 32
Highest common factor of 8 and 32 is 8
8/8 = 132/8 = 4
8x + 32 - divide through by 8
8(x + 4)
We can check this by multiplying out:
8(x + 4) 8 * x = 8x 8 * 4 = 32Hence8(x+4) when multiplied out = 8x + 32
