The curve C has the equation: 16y^3 +9x^2y-54x=0, find the x coordinates of the points on C where dy/dx = 0

C: 16y3 + 9x2y -54x = 0 d/dx(16y3) + d/dx(9x2y) + d/dx(-54x) = d/dx(0).............=>48y2.dy/dx + 9x2.dy/dx + y.18x - 54 = 0 dy/dx(48y<...

A person swims from a depth of 0.50 m to a depth of 1.70 m below the surface of the sea. density of the sea water = 1030 kg/m^3 gravitational field strength = 9.8 N/kg Calculate the increase in pressure on the swimmer. Give the Unit.

ΔP = Δh ρ g
Δh = 1.7 - 0.5 = 1.2 m ρ = 1030 kg/m3g = 9.8 N/kg
ΔP = 1.2 (m) x 1030 (kg/m3) x 9.8 (N/kg)
= 12,112.8 N/m2 = 12,112.8 Pa
