How do you convert a recurring decimal in to a fraction?

Find 3.6262 (recurring) as a fraction s=3.626262 (recurring) 100s= 362.626262 99s= 100s - s 99s=359 s=359/99

Work Out (2+11/15 )-(1+1/3)

= (30/15+11/15) - (3/3+1/3) = (41/15)-(4/3) = (41/15)-(20/15) = (21/15) = (7/5)

Can two shelves of 0.72 meters long each store 50 30mm wide textbooks?

First, convert the units so you can compare more easily. 

0.72m = 72cm = 720mm
