A curve has the equation x^2+2y^2=3x, by differentiating implicitly find dy/dy in terms of x and y.

We shall differentiate each term in the equation with respect to x.

dy/dx (x2) = 2x

dy/dx (2y2) = 4y dy/dx

dy/dx (3x) = 3

So we now have the equation 2x +...

Q = P / (R (4-t)), P=36, R= 3, t=-2

Substitute in each letter for the appropriate number that it equals. Q = 36 / (3 x (4--2)) Q = 36 / (3x(4+2)) Q = 36 / (3x6) Q = 36 /18 Q = 2
