A curve C has the equation x^3 +x^2 -10x +8. Find the points at which C crosses the x axis.

Factorise: (x-2)(x+4)(x-1)

Set equal to 0: (x-2)(x+4)(x-1) = 0

Points are (2,0) (-4,0) (1,0)
