How do I revise for my Maths GCSE exam?

Firstly, ensure that you have all of the notes from class (or from tutoring sessions) from throughout the year. If you do not have all of the topics that are covered in the exam in your book, then you need to get those notes - either from the teacher or from a fellow student. Once you have got all of your notes, you then need to decide what the best revision technique is for you. I recommend splitting the year into each topic, and tackling it like that. You may want to do a mind map of each topic, or maybe a few pages of note with key points, then example questions which gradually get harder. Once you have decided how to condense your notes, you need to start doing exam questions. Gather copies of all of the past papers (your teacher will be happy to help), and work through each one. After each, mark it using the mark scheme and analyse fully where you went wrong, so that you don't make the same mistake again! Do this for all of the past papers, and then you'll be ready for the exam!
