What are the different types of digestion, and where do they take place?

There are 2 types of digestion: mechanical digestion and chemical digestion. Examples of mechanical digestion are: chewing - in the mouth; and churning - in the stomach. Chemical digestion involved enzymes, and takes place in the mouth (amylase enzyme), in the stomach (protease), in the pancreas (protease, lipase, pancreatic amylase) and in the small intestine (maltase).
