Give the key characteristic features of a prokaryotic cell.

Prokaryotic cells are usually 1-10 micrometers in size. Prokaryotic cells have a cell wall, which is usually complexed with a peptidoglycan layer. Prokayotic cells do not have a nucleus. Prokayotic cells do not contain mitochondria. Prokaryotic cells have a 70s ribosome. The DNA in a prokaroytic cell is found in the nucleoid. Some prokaroyic cells have flagellum and pilli which are used for locomotion and transfer of genetic material, respectively.
