What is differentiation and integration?

An integral is an anti-derivative, meaning it will take the derivative we are assessing and return it back to its original function. Moreover, an integral is used to find the area under a curve. Differentiation is the opposite to integration and can be used to find the gradient of a curve.for example, y=f(x)= x2+xdy/dx= 2x+1integration of: 2x+1 = x2+x dx
