TRANSCRIPTION: An RNA polymerase binds to non-coding DNA at the front of the gene. RNA polymerase produces a complementary RNA strand from the coding DNA of the gene. RNA strand leaves the nucleus via a nuclear pore. TRANSLATION: the mRNA attaches to a ribosome. Triplet codons are produced at the ribosome, which code for specific amino acid. These amino acids transfer to the ribosome through the action of tRNA. The amino acids link together to form a polypeptide chain
